Coach Healy enters his second year at the helm of the Saxons varsity in 2010 after three years as the Junior Varsity Head Coach. He takes over following a successful eight year run by Coach Jeff Ferrell culminating in three regional semi-finals appearances and the 2001 Liberty District Championship.
A native of Greenlawn, New York, Coach Healy attended Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, VA where he was a catcher and designated hitter for the Knights. Coach Healy moved on to the College of William of Mary where he was a catcher with the Tribe from 2001-2004. The 2001 squad advanced to the Clemson Regional of the NCAA tournament after winning the Colonial Athletic Association Championship. While at the College Coach Healy was a member of the Monroe Scholar Program.
Coach Healy has coached teams in the Potomac Generals program in the McLean/Great Falls area for the past four years. These teams included the 2006 and 2007 McLean/Great Falls all-star teams. As 13 and 14 year olds they posted consecutive district VII Babe Ruth championships. The 07' squad won the Virginia State championship and went on to finish 9th in the nation at the Babe Ruth World Series in Glen Allen, VA.
Coach Healy is a member of the Special Education and History departments at Langley.
